2017 marks the start of another great year, here at Kuna Foodservice. Not only is it our 100th year in business, but it also marks phase one of our current expansion project.
We have officially broke ground on our 25,000sqft expansion, which is scheduled to be completed this spring. The expansion includes the addition of more freezer space, along with a 28 degree aisle dedicated to fresh proteins and extended beef aging. Furthermore, four new picking aisles will be added to expand our product offering. With this additional warehouse space, five new dock doors will be added to the shipping and receiving area. The expansion will also include: doubling the size of our truck parking lot, adding a state of the art truck washing facility, adding full guard and wire decking to our warehouse bins, tripling the capacity of our back up generator, and adding trailer locks to all 15 dock doors to improve safety.
In the meat processing room, an automatized Marel smart-line will be added, giving us live data yields. We will have the most technologically advanced meat processing room in the surrounding area. We will top off this expansion with a two acre lake complete with fountain, to add aesthetics to our community.
